AJH SVCSGIS and network design

Fiber network design services

We design fiber routes from the first high-level layout through the low-level drawings crews build from. That includes address counts, splice and strand detail, and permit sets for the city, county or state. After construction we update the design to match the field redlines so the records are right.

High-level design

An HLD sets the route, the serving areas and the passing counts before anyone spends money on detailed engineering. We lay out route options over current parcel and address data so you can compare cost and coverage and pick one.

Low-level design

The LLD is what the crew builds from. We draw the strand and conduit, place splice points and equipment, and number everything to your conventions. Aerial and underground sections go in the same set.

Permits and as-builts

We prepare the drawing sets a city, county or state agency asks for with a permit application. Once the job is built, we post the field redlines so the as-built matches what is in the ground.

Common questions

What do you need from us to start a fiber design?
A boundary or address list for the build area, your design rules, and any pole or conduit records you already have. If the field data doesn't exist yet, we can collect it.
Can you work in our design standards and symbology?
Yes. We build to your templates, layer names and numbering so the files fit into your project as delivered.
Do you design both aerial and underground?
Yes. Most builds have both, and we design them together in one set.
What file formats do you deliver?
Whatever we agree on at the start. Common ones are geodatabase, shapefile, KMZ, DWG and PDF sheets.
