Pole audits and field data collection

We collect pole data, GPS locations and utility information in the field and bring it back as GIS features with photos and notes attached. The data comes in ready for a designer or an asset manager to use, so it doesn't have to be re-entered from paper.

Pole audits

We visit each pole on the route and record its location, tag, owner and what is attached to it, with photos. The designer gets what they need to plan attachments without sending someone back out.

GPS collection

Handholes, pedestals, cabinets, valves, signs and other assets are captured with GPS and coded in the field, so each point arrives with its attributes already filled in.

Utility mapping

We map located utilities and tie them into your GIS so the design team can see conflicts before construction starts.

Common questions

What do you collect on a pole audit?
Location, pole tag and owner, existing attachments and photos of each pole. If your design needs more than that, tell us at scoping and we'll add it to the collection form.
How is the field data delivered?
As GIS feature classes or shapefiles with photos linked to each feature. We can match your schema if you have one.
Can we hire you for field collection only?
Yes. You can hire us for collection alone and hand the data to your own designers.
