How a project runs
Every job runs through the same five steps, from a one-page exhibit to a full network design.
Scope
Send us the project area, what you need delivered and any standards we have to follow. We look it over, ask questions if something is unclear, and give you a price and a schedule.
Source data
We start by pulling together existing records, base maps and earlier designs. If something is missing or out of date, we go collect it in the field.
Production
We build the design or dataset to your spec and send updates at the checkpoints we agreed on up front.
Quality check
Before anything goes out, someone other than the person who produced it reviews the geometry, the attributes and the drawing standards against the spec.
Delivery and revisions
Files go out in the format we agreed on, whether that's a geodatabase, shapefiles, KMZ, DWG or PDF sheets. If something doesn't match the scope, we fix it.
What to send for a quote
- The project area, as a boundary file, an address list or a marked-up map
- The deliverable you need and the format you need it in
- Design standards, symbology or templates we should follow
- Your deadline
