Municipal and utility GIS services
A lot of city and utility records still sit in paper files, old CAD drawings and spreadsheets. We turn those into GIS layers, keep them updated, and set up web maps so staff in the office or the field can look things up without special software.
Asset inventories
We build inventories for water, sewer, storm, streets and signs from field collection and from the records you already have. Each asset gets a location and the details your crews and managers ask about, such as size, material and install date.
Parcel and address data
Parcels and addresses change with every plat, split and new subdivision. We keep those layers current so permitting, utility billing and public safety are all working from the same map.
Web maps and dashboards
We publish the layers as web maps that open in a browser, for staff or for the public. A dashboard on top can show counts, conditions and completed work for a council or board report.
Common questions
- We don't have a GIS department. Can you still help?
- Yes. Plenty of small cities and utilities don't. We can build the data, set up the maps and keep them updated for you.
- Can you convert our paper maps and CAD files?
- Yes. We digitize paper maps and convert CAD drawings into GIS layers, then check them against field conditions where it's needed.
- Do we need GIS software to use the maps?
- No. Web maps open in a browser on a computer, tablet or phone.
